Attention OH seniors: The Studio is proud to announce its second annual College Essay Summer Workshop Series.
The college application process can be somewhat stressful. The Studio's goal is to minimize that to the greatest extent possible.
Recent graduates Priya Bhatt, Alex McCullough, and Yale Miller will lead three morning sessions July 13-15 (Monday-Wednesday). Because of their experience (and success!) with college applications, they have a wealth of expertise on the narrative essay process. Each session covers the following topics:
- What to avoid in the writing process.
- Being choosy with your words/language.
- Creative styling to meet any writing prompt.
Students need to bring their computer/notebook and a mask.
By attending the one-hour workshop, participants will receive important first-hand knowledge on how to craft an engaging essay, as well as how to brainstorm, draft, and begin the revision process. Spending time in The Studio before the school year starts ultimately helps students get a head start on the somewhat lengthy process while also reducing anxiety.
Sign-up takes place via a Google Form, which is being sent via email. Seniors are encouraged to pick the day and time slot that works best. Each daily session is from 9-10 a.m.
The Studio looks forward to seeing you (safely distanced!). Questions: Contact Sara Eisenbaum, senior English teacher, at firstname.lastname@example.org
