Dear parents and guardians:
The people have spoken. And to that, we say “THANK YOU” for supporting Our Schools … Our Community … and helping to define Our Future!
Village residents passed both issues tonight: the 2.6-mill bond levy (Issue 15) and the 4.9-mill operating levy (Issue 16). Those votes are a powerful endorsement of the district’s plan for the future and the exciting direction we are headed.
Many of the next steps in that plan will be discussed briefly on Thursday during the Board of Education meeting. (You can watch the meeting live here starting at 4:30 p.m.)
A very special thank you goes to campaign co-chairs Joy Hajjar and Kathy Lathrop for their tireless energy and inclusive leadership of a team of 25 community volunteers. And thank you also goes to scores of volunteers who delivered the important message of these levies to fellow Villagers.
On behalf of Ottawa Hills teachers, staff, and the Board of Education, thank you for believing in our plan and our kids. As we do every day, we will do everything within our power to keep your trust. Go Green Bears!
With deep gratitude,
Dr. Adam Fineske
