Last Friday the Ottawa Hills Schools Foundation recognized distinguished alumni who have made a meaningful contribution to society, and whose accomplishments, affiliations, and careers have honored the tradition of excellence at Ottawa Hills. The Foundation also inducted new members to the Athletic Hall of Fame in appreciation of extraordinary contributions to our athletic programs or recognition of outstanding achievement in sports.

  • Carl Heiles, class of ‘57  - Noted astrophysicist & mentor
  • Phil Matttingly, class of ‘02 - White House correspondent for CNN
  • Cleveland O’Neal, class of ‘77 - Award winning multimedia entrepreneur
  • Dr. Jessica Ciralsky, class of ‘96 - Ophthalmologist and gifted clinical educator
  • Jim White, Jr., class of ‘58 - Business and civic leader

  • Paula (Wagoner) Conway, class of ‘94 - Multi-sport athlete and field hockey leader
  • Sandy Osterman - Sports pioneer and beloved coach
  • Norm Niedermeier - Teacher, coach, athletic director and friend
  • John Spengler, class of ‘77 - All-around athlete and kicking star
  • Jim White, Jr., class of ‘58 - Star quarterback
