The Village Council and Board of Education took the unusual step of meeting together Tuesday (Sept. 21) to discuss in public the results of a population and enrollment study jointly financed by each.
The study examined data and trends and made 10-year projections — with and without the proposed housing/commercial development on Village-owned land on Richards Road. The projection: an increase of 155 students (15 percent) without the development and 178 students (17 percent increase) with the development. Tracy Healy, owner of FutureThink, presented the results.
