Congratulations to 8th Grader Jayden Kang, who participated in the Friends of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge Nature Photography contest for his quarterly participation project in Paul Genzman’s science class. Students can choose from a variety of “Citizen Science” projects as part of their quarterly requirement.
To celebrate National Wildlife Refuges and the beauty of nature, Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge invited all photographers to enter the 22nd Annual Nature Photography Contest. All photos must have been captured on federally managed public lands.
Jayden had four top awards in the following categories: Birds (2nd place), Landscape and Plants (pictured above, 1st Place), People Enjoying Nature (1st Place), and Wildlife Other than Birds (3rd place).
