Six OH Choraliers are joining an elite group of singers to perform a concert with peers from across the region. The students were selected for the Honors Choir, organized annually by the Ohio Music Education Association (District 1).
From left, the students are junior Ellie Evans, senior Brazil Frueh, junior Anna Frey, senior Anil Ravani, senior Ava Morgan (alternate), and senior Avril Niemann.
More than 260 high school students from northwest Ohio auditioned. The Honor Choir will rehearse twice before appearing together Sunday, Jan. 30, at the Honors Festival. The event takes place at 7 p.m. at Stranahan Theater.
"I am so proud of these students for putting themselves out there and auditioning," said Joshua Dufford, the vocal music director at the Junior/Senior High School. "I am thrilled that they will be representing Ottawa Hills in this year's Honors Choir!"
